Happy Spring Equinox, everyone!
Over the last few days in snow-covered Vermont, I have noticed bulbs peeking out from under the melting snow and the warm sun shining on me during my morning meditation. Today is a great day for clearing to make way for planting seeds for the future. It’s also a time for planning and manifesting new projects! In other words, it’s a time for your own personal renaissance!
Is there something that is still clinging by the root that needs digging up? Today is also the perfect day to finally dig it up and put it in the compost pile! Out with the old (finally!) and in with the new.
To facilitate change, try eating healthily and light today. Try my Cleansing Spring GREEN Vegetable Soup Recipe. This is one of my favorite spring cleansing soup recipes. I LOVE eating this warm soup photo for breakfast or lunch and it’s so easy to make. It will fill you up and get your motor running!
You can also practice yoga. Here is a Kundalini Yoga set to help facilitate detoxification: Kundalini Yoga Kriya for Detoxification. This yoga set helps with releasing and letting go.
When making a change commit to watering the seeds you have planted. Remember that this it also a time to surround yourself with the disciplined love that allows positive change to happen.

Savory Sage Artichoke Hummus:: Vegetarian/Vegan/Gluten Free
Up your appetizer game this holiday season with this savory garlicky, ghee artichoke hummus recipe. This is hands down my favorite new hummus recipe – EVER! It’s so YUM! I would love to hear what you think so please post in the comments below after you make it!
*Omit ghee and just use olive oil for vegan.
Add ghee to a warm sau·té pan and then add sage and 10 sliced garlic cloves. Sau·té on low/medium heat for a few minutes. Remove from heat and set aside. Add all the rest of the ingredients to a food processor, and blend until smooth. Add olive oil or water as needed until the hummus reaches your desired consistency.
Spoon the hummus into a serving bowl and serve drizzled with olive oil, salt and pepper. There are so, so many ways to eat this, but I like to serve it warm with a platter of roasted root vegetables, olives, raw fennel and endive! I also love serving it with crispy pita chips or rice crackers (for gluten free). This is super healthy and good for your body too!
May be wrapped up and stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
